PlayerUp.com and Middleman.net review - scam sites

For some of you, PlayerUp.com may be a place where you managed to buy or sell virtual goods. For others, this is a place where their money have been stolen. The site has a "backup" named Middleman.net. Update 21 September 2023: the old PlayerUP.com is up again and running. What was  the site's main banner saying?
,,PlayerUp most secure player 2 player account marketplace". What it is, really - is the most secure way to loose your money... if you catch my drift.
So... I had something to sell. Made an account on PlayerUp.com. Started a tread. It was April 2023. Days passed and nothing happened. I started to think I asked too much for my goods. So I have lowered the price. Waited. Then lowered the price again. Until I stopped to a ridiculous price. 65 USD. Then a buyer contacted me on 13 May 2023. He actually paid 66,95 USD for it.

We had to wait two days until the @Middleman did something about it. Time in which buyer's money were blocked.

The first @Middleman's attempt of creating a 3-way conversation failed (now this thing cannot be seen anymore, because they have deleted it from conversation's history).
The next attempt was successful. That was happening somewhere after 9:54 AM (my time). I gave to the buyer the details, then I confirm delivery, the buyer confirmed delivery as well. The order was completed. Then at 11:46 AM, for no reason, @Middleman creates another 3-way conversation. I contacted the buyer, asking him to confirm delivery for this second ticket. The guy was nice and did that. I confirmed the delivery again. This order was completed as well.
Then... nothing. I waited a day, two, three. Until I got pissed off and wrote to the @Middleman, saying that if he (they) don't give my money, I'll  let PlayerUp negative reviews on every site & forum I'll find (with print screens), but I'll also contact every governmental and non-governmental agency and company that has a site and deals with internet scam, no matter if it belongs to United States of America or not. Then I'll contact the antivirus companies, and so on..
Guess what? By miracle, I got two messages about "wallet deposit", then a "MM Wallet Cashout" message.
What pissed me off was that all the details required to sell something on PlayerUp were scattered, making hard for a newcomer to understand what he's getting into. We were almost in the middle of 2023 (not 1990), still, we talk about a well known, pretty old marketplace-site who had no calculator, no script to help you calculating the price if you want to sell something on PlayerUp. You had to jump from one page to another, reading rules, prices per payments methods, rules again, oh, look, another set of prices. That seems a little too convenient, if you ask me. You do that in 2023 only if you want to confuse the seller. Really, I'm the one who pays for buyer's method of payment? Because if I had realized earlier, I would have set the price to be higher.

A month and half had passed since the buyer contacted me. He got the goods and started to use them, but the transaction stopped there. PlayerUp.com took the money and that was it. All I got from them were lies.
Lies upon lies. First it was "We have some KYC issues with PayPal right now and our ability to send to you is delayed". They made me loose even more time sending a invoice (which the guy on the other end didn't find), then I sent 3 request payments. Then I gave them my Revolut details and cancelled the PayPal payments requests.
Their reply was "We have an issue here. We cannot send USD to that IBAN address unless we send as a SWIFT transfer which has a large fee." So I started to get the PlayerUp's picture: one "issue" on top of another. It seems the 12,99 USD they took from me for using the Middleman were not enough. Ok, send me whatever you owe me in my country's currency. Normally a Revolut transfer takes 3-5 working days.  I've asked after 3-4 days for the transfer's update, someone replied on Telegram "I will have an update for you shortly here."
Guess what, "shortly" means 23 hours to them. Yeah. They have no respect for their users. Because using a word like "customer" is too much. Make no mistake, you're not a customer to them. You're just their next target, about to be robbed.
So they did absolutely nothing. Their reply was useless and had nothing to do with my payment, which exceeded the delivery deadline.
At that point things were clear for me: PlayerUp.com was stealing people's money. They must have someone employed for this specific task of delaying and telling people "oh, don't worry, everything will be fine".

So, if you're thinking about buying/selling your digital goods on Middleman.net or the old PlayerUp.com site...
My advice (based upon my experience with them) - DON'T!
You'll end up poorer. Find someone else. Find another way. The thing is - I'm not the only one who got scammed by those guys. Just search it on the internet. Try those sites, forums and pages where PlayerUp.com and Middleman.net can't pay to remove the negative reviews (because actually they do that). There are a lot of people who got scammed on these two sites. More than you know.
